The circuit was designed by German Hermann Tilke, the same architect who designed the Malaysian Sepang track. Granted an FIA Grade 1 license, the circuit is respected as one of the best compounds for motorsport in the world.
After its construction the circuit was quickly labelled as the ‘home of motorsport in the Middle East’ – the Bahraini population are avid motor enthusiasts and are immensely proud of one of the nation’s biggest attractions.
The International Circuit also hosts many high profile events throughout the year with major music artists performing to energetic audiences. Recent big names to put on live shows include Canadian singer Bryan Adams and chart-topping DJ, Avicii.

The track also offers other amenities and attractions to visit which make a great day out - even if you are not a motorsports fan. Tours of the circuit are available and you can partake in activities such as go-karting. Or why not opt for the exhilarating experience of racing around in a 4 x 4 Land Rover, go-karting, drag racing or watching racing from other motorsport leagues. Well maintained tracks and a first class customer service all contribute to an unforgettable experience.
Any visitor will enjoy the private guided tour service where you can see exclusively behind the scenes and see the control tower and rooms, media centre, garages and Paddock Club and of course a drive around the track. At the end of your visit, take the time to visit the retail store where you can pick up some official F1 merchandise as a souvenir of your day. Even if you're not a race fan this is well worth a visit.
